swimming in the sea,

in a desert vast and grand.

we'd play on rocks and sand.

living on a mountain edge.

to join me on each ledge.

If I were a little lion,

playing in grass so long.

were a little lion too.

Loud we’d roar our lion

song.

If I were a little beaver,

damming streams to make

a lake.

I would hope that you

were a little beaver too.

What a wonderful lake we'd

make.

If I were a little falcon,

flying way up high.

I would hope that you

to join me in the sky.

If I were a little snake,

slithering thru grass.

I would hope that you

we'd slither as seasons

pass.

If I were a little hippo,

swimming in the African

heat.

I would hope that you

were a little hippo too,

we'd paddle with our big feet.

If I were a little bat,

eating mosquitoes each

night.

I would hope that you

to join with me in flight.

If I were a little Lark,

singing a springtime song.

Side by side, singing soft

and strong.

If I were a little skunk,

eating grubs from an old

tree trunk.

I would hope that you

we be glad we both

stunk.

ribbiting a song.

We’d ribbit all day long.

If I were a little rabbit,

hopping as I eat.

eating seeds, from wild

flowers.

We'd eat seeds, together,

for hours.

If I were a little Pit Viper

sensing heat in the air.

We’d sense to see what’s there.

If I were a little cricket,

chirping to my friends.

We'd chirp as each day

ends.

If I were a little kangaroo,

riding in my mother's pouch,

or hopping, each day thru.

were a little kangaroo too.

If I were a little tiger,

with hair striped orange and

black.

wild animals we’d track.

If I were a little tortoise

living in a tortoise shell.

I would hope that you

you'd live in a shell as well.

If I were a little pronghorn,

running in all kinds of

weather.

I would hope that you

we'd run and play together.

If I were a little squirrel

storing tree seeds from a

pine.

I would hope that you

eating seeds, we'd each feel 

fine.

If I were a little bear

eating berries, so sweet.

We'd share our tasty treat.

searching for seeds

to take home.

we'd roam.

building barricades blocking brooks.

What a beautiful lake we’d make.

eating plant leafs in a pond.

Of plant leafs, we'd be fond.

If I were a little cheetah,

running like the wind each

day.

together, we'd run and play.

If I were a little otter,

swimming in the water.

We'd slide in the mud

each morning, and swim

when the day gets hotter.

If I were a little dove,

cooing from a branch above.

I would hope that you,

We’d coo to show our love.

If I were a little zebra,

with stripes of black and

white.

I would hope that you, were

a little zebra too.

We could hide both day and

night.

If I were a little opossum,

dangling like a flower blossom.

I would hope that you,

were a little opossum too

life together would be awesome.

If I were a happy, little hippo,

hopping in hydrated holes.

I would hope that you

We’d keep quite cool
